I’m getting ready for a return trip to Costa Rica. Always love being with those sweet people. I’m trying to relearn Spanish because I know I’ve picked up a lot of bad habits as I’ve struggled with the language. It reminds me of weeding a garden and how often, as we grow in the Lord, some unneeded thought patterns and perceptions may develop and we can get locked into a rigid way of thinking when the Lord is saying “Hey, I’m over here.” He did that with Moses. When Moses was tending sheep on the backside of the desert, the Spirit had to draw him out from his daily ritual. The burning bush caught Moses attention and he had to turn aside to see this great sight. Of all places, a desert is the last place you would expect to see a bush consumed with fire As Moses drew closer He was commanded to take off his shoes because he was entering into a different dimension – a holy presence. We must discard some things if we want to enter more deeply into the holy things of God. Please pray for our trip and the Iglesia Apostolica de Jesucristo of San Jose, Costa Rica.
