I’ve really felt impressed as of late to begin again to update the Jesus Wept newsletter more frequently. We all need to be inspired and encouraged in this evil day. I receive so many amazing letters from prisoners around the country who, like the Apostle Paul, have learned how to achieve victory even while incarcerated. It is time to share these testimonies with those on the outside of those walls of God’s overcoming POWER to deliver from any and all obstacles.
I am presently working on the Jesus Wept Newsletter Spring Issue and will be sharing additional inspirational material. This article on holiness was written by Michael Giles, Beto Unit, Tennessee Colony, TX.
Holiness is the biblical mandate
or every true child of God and ALL who would see HEAVEN and ENTER INTO GOD’S HOLY KINGDOM. Despite the changing of the times one thing remains the same unchanged – that is
Is still right.
HOLINESS is the abandonment of all that is contrary to God’s Standards
HOLINESS is abhorring those things that violate the righteous ways of God.
HOLINESS is the practical way of abstinence from everything that appears to be evil.
HOLINESS is the acclamation of one’s stand – in Christ Jesus –
HOLINESS of life is achievable.
HOLINESS is accomplished by all who truly serve (reverence) and fear God in spirit, truth & Obedience.
HOLINESS is a manner of life that all Christians need to become addicted to.
HOLINESS is not just a position we have in Christ nor is it merely progressive – it is present action.
HOLINESS of life is not only the inward adornment of spirit but the outward adornment of life which adorns god.
HOLINESS is the way one worships God because the way one lives reveals who he worships.
“(Live) as children of obedience (to God). Do not conform yourselves to the evil desires (that governed you in your former ignorance. (when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel).”
“But as the One who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in ALL your conduct and manner of living.”
“For it is written, You shall be holy for I AM HOLY.” (I Peter 1:14-16 – Amplified Bible -)
“Having these promises therefore beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Holiness is the abolishment of all known sin in our lives out of love for God. Holiness is a constant continual abiding at the altar before God.
BACK TO THE ALTAR
Praise the living God! Those old time Pentecostals knew what it meant to “pray through”! Glory to God!! This is what the “Church” world as a whole has gotten away form.
We need to GET BACK to the ALTAR!
AWAY WITH THE FASHION SHOWS
AND BACK TO THE
This is what made Pentecostals so great!! Hallelujah! This is the consecration the Lord seeks in these last and evil days. He’s looking for some saints that will set themselves apart to God in prayer – ALL NIGHT PRAYER. We must get back to the ALTAR!!
This is where the SPIRIT’S POWER FLOWS.
Sis. Evangelist Ann Perry said “In prayer we pour ourselves out to God and He pours Himself into us.”
This alone will bring a true revival and a real glorious outpouring of the Spirit.
What the Church needs in this day and hour is A REVIVAL OF PRAYER to bring us BACK TO THE ALTAR!
This is where all true holiness is born. Bless God!! Hallelujah!
