Is the Bible “Hate Speech”?

Jesus is coming     With continuing unraveling of our country and chaos in the streets I don’t know how anyone can have a “ho-hum” attitude, but many in the church and outside of the church have insulated themselves as if these calamities could never touch them.  Just this past week 20,000 people have been displaced in New Orleans.  The Lord has spoken to me that these events should not scare us but prepare us.   Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.” (Rev. 19:7)

      Remember the parable of the 10 virgins? They were all waiting for the Bridegroom as they slept, but the ones who were prepared (oil in their lamp) were the only ones permitted in when the door opened.

      Recently I’ve been studying the increasingly strong spirit of “political correctness”.    I say spirit because it is indeed a stronghold of conditioning and indoctrination that can begin from an early age.  I know because I was raised in such a home.  There were strong borders around what we could say and what we couldn’t say.  Now the good that I learned from this (because it was indeed a daily discipline) is to be careful not to offend others with our speech and to learn discretion and tact.  This is the good side of “political correctness” but the dark side is when this spirit overpowered truth.  In other words, if truth offended someone’s carnal nature, the one telling the truth was the offender and not vice versa.  I pray that I can communicate effectively what I am trying to say.  Political correctness has developed to insane levels in 2016.

       The more I studied this topic the more it became very clear that our nation has totally rejected and abandoned God and His Word in their effort to be politically correct.

         First let’s start with the growing phenomenon of “Transgender” or the more popular title of “Trans”.
What does God’s Word say?

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment; for all that do so are abomination.”  Deut. 22:5.

      Being of the apostolic holiness mindset for over 30 years now, I always believed this referred to how women who profess godliness should dress.  I’ve never worn a pair of pants in all these years.  This was my understanding and consecration and the Lord has blessed me for those choices I made a long time ago.

      However, now in light of present trends I see this scripture in Deuteronomy in a far deeper light.  God is obviously referring to transgender issues back there.  God made man in His image – Adam and Eve were created as two distinct and different sexes.  So what better way for Satan to confuse the minds of people than to confuse the sexes and blur the image of God.  God made man in His image but now man/woman has remade himself/herself into another image altogether, losing the very identity of the nature of God in the process.

      When I was growing up we were taught to respect authority and to assert our own will was rebellion.  But now children are being led into overt rebellion by giving them the permission to choose what sex they want to be even at a very early age.  God forbid!  If someone challenges these new freedoms (which actually lead to bondage and potential eternal destruction) they are labeled “haters” and hence the Word of God in Deut. 22:5 is clearly viewed as “hate speech”.  My friend, the spirit of lawlessness and anti-Christ is now the norm in our country.  The moment we tolerate these “trends”, even when they become “laws” we lose the “fear of the Lord” and no longer “hate what He hates.”    By embracing these new ideas (which are really as old as the Garden of Eden) we are aligning ourselves with the fallen one, Lucifer.

      Now let’s look at Leviticus 18:22, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, it is an abomination.”

      I can almost feel the politically correct folk rising up against this scripture.  Does that make it any less true?  In the Strong’s Concordance H8441 abomination is defined as filth, idolatry, morally disgusting.    Do you see that all these perversions are morally repugnant in the eyes of a holy God.  I remember an old time preacher who would always say “It’s holiness or hell.”   He was right.  Those who practice sexual perversions in any form will not enter that celestial city where Jesus will reign with us forever and ever and ever.  Hell will continue to burn just as long.

      “For the forward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.” Proverbs 3:32.  That word is described in Strong’s as morally perverse.

      There are other abominations as well so someone will not conclude I am just picking on sexual sins.

      “For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.”  I Kings 11:5

      Ashtoreth or Astarte was the primary goddess worshipped by the ancient Canaanites and the Philistines.  She was often associated with carved trees and the “Asherah pole” (obelisk) can be seen in architecture around the world and in our capitol of Washington, D.C.  She was also identified as the moon goddess.  Interesting that the crescent moon is the symbol for Islam.  This is an ancient pagan religion.  When the Lord gave Gideon victory over Zeba and Zilmunnah in Judges 8:21 part of the spoils of war was stripping the crescent pendants from the camel’s necks.

      It is also interesting to note that Queen Jezebel also worshipped Ashtoreth.  This goddess worship is very present today in almost every aspect of society.  It is abomination to God.

      At both the RNC and the DNC two men stood up and said the same thing, “I am proud to be gay.”    And everyone clapped.  What a tragedy to be proud of what God is against in His Word.

      “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination?  Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush.”   The Word of God is forever established.  If there is anything in my life that is an abomination in the sight of the Lord I want to be delivered of it.  Anyone who truly loves God would want the same.  There is no one who cannot be delivered from sin if they repent and do an “about face”.  The cliché that is often repeated is “I was born that way.”  I’ve heard it at the Lew Sterritt jail when we go to minister once a month.  My response is “Maybe you were born that way but you still need to be born again.”  When we are born again the sin nature gets buried in the watery grave when we go down in the name of the Lord Jesus for the remission of sins.

      There is a difference between conviction and condemnation.  Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world but that the world could be saved through Him.  He said that the ultimate Judge was the Word of God.  We will all be measured one day by how we aligned ourselves to the Word of God.  Our opinions matter little.  God’s Word reigns supreme.  His Word is even above His name.  This is our moral compass and He has given us the promise of the Father, the Holy Ghost, to enable us to overcome all sins, addictions, carnal impulses, etc. etc. so we can rule and reign with Jesus forever.

      Condemnation causes a person to shrink and hide from the Only One who can help him.  Conviction on the other hand always offers hope.  It is as if the Lord is saying “I love you more than you could ever know but this behavior has to go and I have paid the price.”  The Lord loved us enough to save us from our sins but He doesn’t leave us in that sinful state.  As we yield He makes all things new and no matter how deep the stain of sin in our lives, He can wipe the slate clean and make us holy.  Beloved, it is holiness or hell.

      “And there shall in no wise enter into it (heavenly Jerusalem) anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of Life.”  Rev. 21; 27

      “These six things doth the Lord hate, yea seven are an abomination to Him. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood (all abortionists etc.). A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief.  A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” Proverbs 6:16-19

      Beloved, we should flee from the very appearance of evil.   “Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass….”
